Happy, Lazy Snapper

Anyone who's known me for a while, knows me as a prolific snapper (read photographer) which was brought about from a love of photography instilled into me as a teenager when I was given an old camera by my grandparents as our family moved out to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the early 80s.

​The landscape of picture postcard perfect islands and a family of five venturing onto this tropical paradise gave me plenty to capture. I think I still have the foggy, not quite focussed first few snaps somewhere in our family archives. Shortly after we arrived and I had been snapping away, one of my teachers offered to sell me her old camera. Well that set me off snapping Island life and my friends and family even more intently!
